Baby Michael was born to rage.

1990s

This is Michael, Mike, Mikey. A skinny white boy from New Jersey. Look at him, he doesn’t know sh*t about food.

Cajun and Asian flavors = straight fire.

Early 2010s

It wasn’t until his college days in New Orleans that he fell in love with the deep South and its vibrant culinary community. Who wouldn’t?

They said he was playing with fire. He didn’t listen. He lost an eyebrow.

Late 2010s

From backyard cooking to pit smoking, Michael became obsessed with adding smoke to anything you could eat. His time in NOLA and NYC sparked a flame to learn all things food. So, this Jersey kid set off on a culinary adventure.

This is what Michael looks like when he’s not wearing a Suffocation t-shirt

Early 2020s

From exploring global flavors to working the line and eventually dabbling into the world of fine dining, our Pitmaster reached a culinary crossroads: Should he continue the path of innovative fine dining or return to his community-focused BBQ roots? Michael knew there was a world where both could exist. Thus, a BBQ revolution was ignited.

There are a lot of pics of his back.

2023

A friend said his sauces were fire. So then he started making more of them.
